Print settings and mechanical properties are published per grade. A colour change never alters these numbers.

Precision Resin

A low-shrink model resin for parts where the surface is the deliverable. Crisp text, clean 45-degree overhangs and a validated exposure table for common 8K panels.

Best for

  • Appearance models and miniatures
  • Master patterns for moulding
  • Dimensional test fits

Watch out

Model resins are brittle by design. Do not use them for parts under sustained load.

Tough Resin

An ABS-like photopolymer that bends before it shatters. Snap fits survive assembly, threads survive a screwdriver, and dropped parts survive the floor.

Best for

  • Functional prototypes with snap fits
  • Housings and threaded parts
  • Jigs handled by people

Watch out

Longer exposure and cure than model resin. Under-curing shows up as parts that creep out of tolerance.

High Temp Resin

For fixtures that go near heat: thermoforming moulds, soldering jigs, flow test parts. Heat deflection above 200 °C after a full thermal post-cure.

Watch out

The 200 °C figure needs the thermal post-cure step. Straight out of the UV chamber it is far lower.

How long should I cure a resin print?

Wash for 3 minutes in fresh isopropyl alcohol, dry fully, then cure 2–4 minutes in a 405 nm chamber. Over-curing is a real failure mode: it makes parts brittle and yellow, so start short and add time only if the surface stays tacky.

Is 3D printing resin dangerous?

Uncured resin is a skin sensitiser and an aquatic toxin. Nitrile gloves, eye protection, ventilation, and no resin or wash alcohol down the drain. Cured resin and cured waste are inert and can go in normal waste.

Why did my resin print fail halfway up?

Usually suction and supports, not exposure. Large flat cross sections generate enough peel force to tear supports off the plate — tilt the model 20–30 degrees, hollow it with a vent hole, and thicken the support tips before you increase exposure time.
